Welcome to those of you from FB and to those of you who may have wandered in off the street. The name of this blog comes from the stages of a river. The first stage, as the river starts off in the mountains as just a trickle from melting ice or bursting out of the ground, the river races down the mountain all carefree and happy, splashing and dashing among the rocks, jumping over cliffs, and in a hurry to get to whatever awaits below. Out of the mountains in the second stage the river joins with other young rivers to gain strength and hopefully wisdom as there is serious work to be done, still running swiftly it will carry loads and turn wheels, providing much needed energy for those living far distance from its banks; this stage will be the longest and not much thought is given as to where it is going. In the third stage, the river is slowing, not in a hurry to get to wherever it is going but thinking about it none the less, it will spread out into a delta of slow waterways some not moving at all so as to claim the most as its own to hold on to, recalling all the land that it has crossed before, and dreaming of the what will come. As it is with the river so it is with life, you can guess what stage I am in life.
